Long Island based artist, Stacey Sharp has been expanding her art skills since she was very young, working with graphite, colored pencil, acrylic paint, and ink. She began her career as a tattoo artist in 1992.
Her work with acrylic lead her to design and paint large murals and other decor for American Career College (now defunct) in Topeka, Kansas. She also designed and painted background murals for White Barn Theater (also now defunct) in Irwin, Pa for the 1991 summer season. She currently has a large-scale painting on permanent display at The Dirty Dawg, a grooming shop in Bellmore, NY.
Wishing to share her creations with even more people, Sharp began to market some of her personal art at tattoo conventions in 2008. This work was primarily done in combinations of colored pencil, marker, and digital. In 2017 she began working with watercolor and in 2020, returned to acrylics as her preferred medium. Most recently she has been gaining exposure by exhibiting her work locally. She is currently a member of the Patchogue Arts Council, the South Bay Art Association and the Islip Arts Council.
